I was leading worship at a church called Faith Covenant Church. The pastor asked me to write a song for the new year and present it at our New Year's Eve Service. I had a few weeks so I told him no problem, it would be ready. By 6:00pm New Year's Eve night I had nothing! (I did'nt tell the pastor, though.) i had been out running errands with a couple of my daughters and we decided to stop at McDonald's to eat. Still had nothing! As we ordered and got our food I started running over our songlists in my head thinking we'd have to settle for a song we already knew. As I set our tray down on our table the phrase,"harvest of faith" ran through my head. I felt I was on to something but I hadn't brought my notebook. I grabbed some napkins and started writing. Before 20 minutes was past the song , "The Harvest of Faith" was written. I don't even remember if I ate, but as soon as the girls were finished we rushed home and I worked out the music on the piano. I called the keyboard player on our worship team and asked her to meet me early at the church. We worked it out in just two run throughs, taught it to the team and that night, just before midnight we sang as a congregation the words God was speaking over our church for the new year. Glory to God! (See complete words in CD Lyrics.)
